UTS QR SCAN

📢 Important Update (March 2026): Indian Railways has replaced the UTS app with the new RailOne app. The station and platform QR codes on this site continue to work with the RailOne app exactly the same way.

How to Use the RailOne App (Formerly UTS App)

The RailOne app (which replaced the UTS / Unreserved Ticketing System app in March 2026) lets you book unreserved Indian Railways tickets digitally by scanning station and platform QR codes — no queues, no paper tickets. Here's how to get started in minutes.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Download the RailOne App

Install the official RailOne Mobile Ticketing app from the Google Play Store (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). The app is developed by CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems).

  2. Register and Log In

Open the app, tap Register, and enter your mobile number. An OTP will be sent to verify your number. Once verified, set a 6-digit MPIN to log in quickly in the future.

  3. Add Balance to Your R-Wallet

Tap R-Wallet → Add Money and top up using UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. A minimum balance of ₹100 is recommended. The R-Wallet is used to pay for all tickets.

  4. Find Your Station's QR Code on RailOne

Search for your departure station on utsqrscan.in. Tap the station to open its dedicated QR code page. Keep this page open on your phone — you'll need to scan it in the next step.

  5. Tap "Book Ticket" → "QR Scan" in the App

In the UTS app, tap Book Ticket from the home screen, then select QR Scan. This opens the in-app scanner.

  6. Scan the QR Code

Hold your phone's camera over the QR code shown on the RailOne station page. The app will automatically detect the station and fill in the departure station field.

  7. Enter Journey Details and Pay

Select your destination station, ticket type (single/return), class (2nd class / sleeper), and number of passengers. Review the fare and tap Pay to deduct from your R-Wallet.

  8. Show Your Ticket to the TTE

Your digital ticket will appear under My Tickets in the app. Show the ticket (with the booking time and train details) to the Travelling Ticket Examiner during your journey. No printout required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a platform QR code on Indian Railways?

A platform QR code is a QR code displayed at railway station platforms. Passengers scan it using the RailOne app to instantly book unreserved tickets. Is the RailOne app free to download?

Yes. The RailOne app is completely free to download and use. You only pay for the actual tickets booked through the app via your R-Wallet.
